Celebrating earth month in an apartment should be fun and easy, and a couple of small swaps and investments can create meaningful results for the earth, and your wallet. Many apartment communities are conveniently located near transportation and employment hubs and this time of year gives renters the perfect opportunity to try carpooling, walking, or biking to work. If you take the light rail or public transportation, you will have time to enjoy a book on tape, podcast or just some quiet time while you ride. Even just a day or two of ride-sharing creates an impact.
Looking around your home, there are lots of easy changes you can try to help conserve resources and feel better. Some of these will even save you money as you save water and electricity.

There seem to be lots of recycling events during this season of spring cleaning and it’s a great time to take advantage of the cooler weather to do some indoor and outdoor purging. By letting go of old goods, you can help a nonprofit and carefully recycle goods that you are done enjoying.
