Regular Member Code of Conduct

  • We conduct all business transactions in a straightforward and honest manner.
  • We pay our obligations in a timely manner and communicate with our suppliers/vendors when terms or circumstances change.
  • We conduct our business transactions with active knowledge of and affirmative compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • We comply with federal, state and city fair housing laws.  We do not discriminate against persons because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, handicap or familial status.
  • We respond promptly to resident complaints and address grievances in a fair, honest and timely fashion.
  • We return all security deposits or provide proper accounting for any appropriate charges within the legal time limit. 
  • We treat our residents and business suppliers/vendors with respect and integrity.
  • We encourage and provide training and education for our personnel.
  • We encourage our personnel to be proactively involved in and otherwise supportive of association and community-based programs and to conduct themselves appropriately at such functions.
  • We encourage residents and business suppliers/vendors to file written complaints regarding any violation of this Code of Conduct.  We strive to resolve amicable any written complaints filed against us.

Industry Partner Member Code of Conduct

  • We conduct all business transactions in a straightforward and honest manner.
  • We conduct business transactions with active knowledge of and affirmative compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • We respect the integrity of business relationships between Regular and Industry Partner members and conduct our business activities with a sense of fair play and competition.
  • We will not engage in behavior that constitutes a restraint of trade.
  • We treat our customers, competitors and vendors with respect and integrity.
  • We agree to fulfill our business commitments in a complete, timely and quality manner.
  • We do not directly solicit business at AMA social functions.
  • We encourage our personnel to be proactively involved in and otherwise supportive of association and community-based programs and to conduct themselves appropriately at such functions.
  • We will actively promote our business through AMA advertising, sponsorship and relationship-building opportunities.
