Blueprints are the universal language used to communicate necessary information for troubleshooting issues. Knowledge of how to read and interpret blueprints is critical first step for the maintenance supervisor to ensure issues are identified and handled correctly and swiftly.
This class qualifies for NAA continuing education credits needed for credential renewals. Please indicate if you hold the CAM, CAPS and/or CALP credential when registering.

SPEAKER
Carlos Murrieta - Merge Architectural Group LLC
Graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Architecture from Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM), he is the co-founder of Merge Architectural Group, a Hispanic-owned, rated one of the Top-10 small architectural firms in Arizona. His work has been highlighted in Sources + Design Magazine, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), New York AIA +The Plan Magazine conference, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, COX7, Telemundo, and the V Regional Architecture Biennial in his beloved Mexico.
A recipient of the 2016 Arizona American Institute of Architect’s Young Architect Award, he believes that you need to be part of the change in order to trigger change. He is an active member of the Architecture community where he currently serves different roles, including Secretary of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), immediate Past-President of the National Organization of Minority Architects in Arizona (NOMA), Advisory Committee member for the Arizona Board of Technical Registration (AZBTR), member of the examination committee for the National Council of Architect Registration Board (NCARB) in Washington DC. In the past he was participated in community and education engagement roles, including the AIA Young Architect’s Forum Arizona representative SUMMIT-20 in Washington DC, Chairman at the Construction Specifications Institute, CADI LEED a Sustainability Program training for Faculty members, Virtual Studio professor at his Alma Mater Tecnologico de Monterrey.
