Do you want to start planning for your financial future but don't know where to start? This class is for you. Come join us as Mark guides you through the best first steps to taking control of your finances.
In this session you will hear ways to start getting your finances in order. You will learn how to organize your information in order to summarize and evaluate where you are financially. You will gain insight into how to develop a budget and learn ways to change your spending habits to be able to start saving and investing. Tips on how to measure your progress, set goals, and evaluate your risk tolerance will be discussed. You will learn how to pay down debt, build an emergency fund, and understand your tax situation. These time-tested techniques and disciplines will help you have a better financial future.

Mark started his successful financial advising career with PaineWebber in 1985. He joined RBC Wealth Management in May of 2009. He has a degree in Business Management from Arizona State University. He is committed to continuous education and has taken graduate coursework through the Hanover Forum at The Wharton School. He acquired his AWM, AIM. He has an impressive array of accolades including membership in the UBS President’s Council for 10 straight years. At RBC he has been honored in both President’s Club and Chairman’s Club. Mark believes strongly in giving back to the community; he has served with the Phoenix Police Reserve Foundation, Foundation for Blind Children, Scottsdale Business Development Forum, and the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association. Most recently he has served since 2012, on the board of ValleyWise Health, Phoenix’s only public teaching health system, including as Chairman of the Board since 2018.
Mark has been married to his wife Wendy since 1992 and together they have raised two wonderful children. Although born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Mark has called Phoenix home since 1970. He enjoys all outdoor activities including horseback riding, camping and hunting.
