Personal and Resident Safety

Safety is one of the most important responsibilities of onsite teams. This session will provide practical strategies to help protect yourself, your team, and your residents while responding confidently to everyday safety concerns and emergency situations.
Topics will include personal safety best practices, resident safety awareness, de-escalation techniques, and emergency preparedness. A key component of the class will focus on responding to an active shooter incident, including recommended response strategies, situational awareness, and how to prepare before an emergency occurs.
Attendees will leave with actionable tools and increased confidence to help create a safer community while being better prepared to respond when the unexpected happens.
This class qualifies for NAA continuing education credits needed for credential renewals.
