Student Housing Bootcamp
April 20 | 10am-11am | ZOOM
Student housing comes with unique challenges, from roommate disagreements and parent involvement to high volume turnover. This bootcamp will explore practical strategies to support student residents, strengthen communication, and keep operations running smoothly.
Topics include:
- Conflict Resolution and Roommate Mediation: Navigate roommate disputes, guide productive conversations, and help residents work toward solutions.
- Mental Health in Student Communities: Recognize when residents may need support, respond with empathy, and connect them with appropriate resources while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Renewal Strategies: Encourage renewals and communicate timelines clearly in communities where student leases do not automatically end.
- Mass Turnover Strategies: Plan staffing, coordinate vendors, and organize inspections and make ready schedules for a smooth move out and move in process.
- Communicating with Parents: Manage expectations, handle difficult conversations, and maintain resident privacy and professional boundaries.
This class qualifies for NAA continuing education credits needed for credential renewals.
