April 18, 2024 | 8:00am - 4:00pm | Tucson Convention Center

Join us for AMA Tucson's biggest event of the year! AMA’s annual Trade Shows are the Association’s largest events of the year and on the "Can't Miss" list of AMA activities. While the highlight is most definitely the over 80 Exhibiting Industry Partner (Vendor) Companies, the themed show also includes giveaways, prizes, networking and lots of fun.

The AMA Trade Show is an excellent opportunity for Industry Partner Members to showcase their products and services to our Regular Members in a fun and casual atmosphere. Regular Members have the opportunity to hone their skills by attending dynamic education sessions in the morning.

Education Keynote Speaker

Get ready to transform the way you and your team deal with change! The pace of change is faster than ever, leaving many leaders and organizations feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. In Jan’s electrifying keynote, “Finding the Funny in Change,” she shows you how to turn tension into laughter and get your point across with ease. She’ll equip you with the humor tools to diffuse tension instantly, initiate those tough conversations, and facilitate communication through using well-placed, appropriate humor.

Jan McInnisJan McInnis is a keynote speaker, comedian, comedy writer, and author. She has written for Jay Leno’s Tonight Show monologue as well as many other people, places and groups – radio, TV, syndicated cartoon strips, guests on the Jerry Springer show (her parents are proud). For 20+ years she’s traveled the country as a keynote speaker and comedian sharing her unique and practical tips on how to use humor in business (yes it’s a business skill!). She's been featured in the Huffington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post for her clean humor, and she's the author of 2 books: Finding the Funny Fast – How to Create Quick Humor to Connect with Clients, Coworkers and Crowds," and "Convention Comedian: Stories and Wisdom From Two Decades of Chicken Dinners and Comedy Clubs."

Education Breakout Speaker

Sgt. Darrell Hussman is a twelve-year veteran of the Tucson Police Department. Throughout his career, he has served in various patrol assignments, attained certification as a General Instructor, worked within the Mental Health Support Team, and currently coordinates/oversees Crisis Intervention Training for department members and community resources. Since his promotion to Sergeant in 2020, he has supervised patrol officers, the Adult Sexual Assault Unit, Hostage Negotiations, and presently serves as the President of the Tucson Police Officers Association.

Sgt Darrell Hussman

Hussman discovered that his mere presence could sometimes lead to unnecessary conflicts or be perceived as intimidating, even without uttering a word. The challenges he faced in his professional and personal life, particularly in raising a family, ignited a passion that extends beyond assisting others in times of need. This commitment drove him to better comprehend, communicate, and listen, fostering the ability to empathize with individuals he might not naturally connect with. His aspiration for growth, both professionally and personally, has furnished him with valuable experiences that he eagerly shares with others. Sgt. Hussman's charismatic personality enhances the learning experience of de-escalation and conflict resolution, making it engaging for all.
