AMA Announces 2023 Tribute Award Winners Recognizing the Best in the Apartment Industry
A night to celebrate the best of the state's apartment industry with record breaking crowd
PHOENIX, ARIZONA (August 18, 2023)
The Arizona Multihousing Association announced its 2023 Tribute Awards to a diverse group of employees that serve the state’s many apartment communities.
“The apartment developments around the state have such dedicated and earnest employees who create livable communities,” said AMA board chair Linda Coburn, the vice president of asset management at NexMetro Development. “Our award winners exemplify the dedication of the more than 131,000 employees who work in the apartment industry.”
AMA handed out 30 awards, ranging from the Volunteer of the Year to Service Technician of the Year at the 31st AMA/Cox Communications Tribute Awards. The event drew more than 1,700 people to the Phoenix Convention Center.
“As we emerge from the depths of the COVID pandemic, apartment employees continue to step up and serve residents in a difficult time,” said AMA president and CEO Courtney LeVinus. “We are proud to honor the best of these employees who demonstrate day-in and day-out their commitment to bettering the lives of residents who live in apartment communities.”
A record 865 nominations from 39 member companies participated. Volunteers donated more than 700 hours of their time to judge all the nominees. The AMA's nomination and interview process is one of the most rigorous in the industry. Nominees complete an aptitude test and AMA judges conduct in person interviews and some have personal shops or inspection of the properties and teams.
Arizona’s apartment industry employs more than 131,000 people, $700 million in wages and a nearly $4 billion in economic impact.
