April Highlights: Lawn Games, Trade Shows & Tribute Season
April packed a lot into one month. Between trade shows, property tours, networking events, and Tribute season officially kicking off, there were plenty of opportunities for members to connect across the state.
Starting with New Faces
We kicked off the month with our New Member Orientation on Zoom, helping recent members learn more about AMA and ways to get involved. April also brought 31 new members into the AMA community, and we’re excited to have you here.
IPC Meetings Hit the Road
This month featured two strong IPC property events that brought Industry Partners and management companies together outside the usual email chains.
In Phoenix, members toured Avery Upscale Apartments, hosted by Mark-Taylor Residential, for networking and conversations about partnership opportunities.
Later in the month, Tucson members visited Villas at San Dorado Apartments, hosted by Northland Investment, for another great afternoon of property tours and industry connections.
Giving Back in Tucson
AMCF members also toured the Center of Opportunity in Tucson, getting a firsthand look at the organization’s work supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. It was a meaningful reminder of the impact our industry can make beyond housing alone.
Lawn Games Got Competitive Fast
Our Phoenix Lawn Games Tournament returned this month, and some members clearly came ready to win. The event brought plenty of laughs, networking, and surprisingly serious cornhole competition.
Cheers to 60 Years
The Tucson Education Conference & Trade Show welcomed more than 580 attendees for this year’s Cheers to 60 Years theme celebrating AMA’s anniversary year. Between education sessions, networking, and a packed trade show floor, the event highlighted the strong multifamily community across Southern Arizona.
Peace, Love & Safety
The Social Responsibility Committee leaned fully into the 60s theme during this year’s Phoenix 5 Star & Project S.A.F.E. Workshop. Members got hands-on ideas for building successful resident events and stronger community engagement. Missed it? One more workshop is coming up September 8.
Tribute Season Is Here
We also announced the 2026 Tribute Awards Finalists live on Facebook this month. Congratulations to all this year’s finalists! [Insert finalists link here.] Finalist interviews will take place May 19–21.
Celebrating Haley
This month, Haley St. Paul, Education Manager, celebrated her 2-year anniversary with AMA. Thank you for everything you do for our members and education programs statewide!
Looking Ahead
April brought a little bit of everything, and honestly, that’s usually when AMA is at its best. We’re looking forward to another busy month ahead and can’t wait to see everyone at upcoming events.
