Feb 2026 | Your AMA Monthly Recap
February Highlights: A Busy Month Across the AMA
February kept the AMA calendar moving at full speed. From leadership development and advocacy to networking events and education, the month was packed with opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate the people who make our industry strong.
Celebrating Excellence in Tucson
We kicked things off at the Tucson Dinner Meeting, where we recognized the 2025 AMCF fundraising winners along with the latest 5 Star Program award recipients. It was a great evening celebrating the communities and teams who continue to raise the bar for safety, engagement, and giving back.
Building the Next Generation of Leaders
Professional development took center stage as two major programs got underway! The Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) Course began on February 10, helping industry professionals sharpen their management and operational skills.
Just a few days later, the newest Lyceum Leadership Class kicked off with candidate introductions, conversations with AMA leadership, and sessions focused on presentation and leadership skills. Watching the next generation of leaders begin their journey is always exciting.
Advocacy Takes the Green
Advocacy remained a priority as members gathered for the annual BGF/AMAPAC Golfer Auction, raising funds to support AMA’s advocacy work. Events like this help ensure the multihousing industry continues to have a strong voice at the Capitol.
Connecting Through Industry Partnerships
Our Tucson IPC Property Event at Desert Springs Apartments, hosted by The Bella Group, brought industry partners together to learn about the company’s growth in Tucson, tour the community, and connect with peers. These gatherings continue to be a great way to strengthen relationships across the industry.
Recognizing Tribute Award Nominees
February wrapped up with our Phoenix Tribute Awards Nominee Networking Event, which drew over 400 registrants. The evening gave us the chance to recognize this year’s nominees and celebrate the incredible work happening throughout Arizona’s multifamily communities.
Education That Works for You
February’s education lineup included:
• Fee Transparency
• Becoming More Than a Vendor
• Legal and Advocacy Updates
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) Course
• Proactive HVAC Care
• Grow Your Team and Employee Retention
And with our newly updated OnDemand platform - opens in a new tab, it’s now easier than ever to access education classes anytime. As always, these classes are free for members.
Celebrating Milestones and Growth
This month we also celebrated two important staff anniversaries. Alex Gonzalez, Membership Coordinator, marked four years with AMA, while Sarah Fluke, VP of Operations, celebrated seven years with the organization. Thank you both for everything you do for our members!
February also brought 50 new members - opens in a new tab into the AMA community, and we’re excited to welcome each of you.
Looking Ahead
If February is any indication, the year ahead will be a full one! We’re looking forward to more opportunities to connect, learn, and continue building a stronger multifamily community together.
