This year marks a major milestone. The Arizona Multihousing Association is celebrating 60 years. And we are not easing into it quietly. From new leadership and award celebrations to education launches and community impact, January set the tone for a meaningful anniversary year.

Celebrating 60 Years of AMA

We officially kicked off our 60th anniversary celebration with several special initiatives already underway. Our Call for Legacy Stories, the 60 Years, 60 Positive Stories campaign, and 60 Acts of Kindness are just the beginning. This year is about honoring our history while recognizing the members who continue to shape our future! There is much more to come.

Growing Our Community

In January, 32 new members joined the AMA. We are excited to welcome you into this 60-year legacy. Our New Member Orientation on January 27 gave attendees the opportunity to connect with staff and learn how to get involved, but whether you attended or not, we are glad you are here.

Recognizing 5 Star Excellence

At our January 28 Phoenix Dinner Meeting, we honored and announced our 2025 5 Star Program award winners. These communities continue to lead in safety, engagement, and professionalism. It is always a highlight to recognize the properties and teams raising the bar across Arizona!

Education That Works for You

January’s classes covered topics across every role, including:

  • Understanding a Budget for Maintenance Professionals
  • IRO Property Protection Part 3
  • Train the Trainer
  • Perfecting Your Pitch
  • Landlord Tenant

We are also excited to introduce our new OnDemand page, designed to make it easier than ever to access education classes. As always, classes remain free for members and available whenever your schedule allows.

Leadership for the Year Ahead

We announced the 2026 Executive Committee slate and Board of Directors. You can view the full list on our website. We also interviewed incoming 2026 Board Chair Michelle Sinclair to hear her vision for the year ahead. Be sure to read the full conversation.

AMCF Scholarship Now Open

The AMCF Julie Hurst and Steve Peters Scholarship is open through March 15. This opportunity supports employees of AMA member companies and their families pursuing post-secondary education with a $1,500 scholarship.

Sixty years in, and we are still building, growing, and showing up for Arizona’s multifamily industry. If January is any indication, this anniversary year is off to a strong start.
