Industry Partners kick off 2022 with event at Gramercy Scottsdale

The Industry Partners Committee (IPC) kicked off 2022 in style with its first event of the year at Gramercy Scottsdale. We had a great meeting with approximately 40 people in attendance. Manager of Community Operations Kimberly Valeo and her team put on an amazing spread from Postino’s for all to enjoy. 

We had the honor of having John Carlson, President of Mark-Taylor, speak to the group. John not only spoke to us about Gramercy, but he also shared the culture of Mark-Taylor and its plans for growth. One of the beliefs of Mark-Taylor is “Do the right thing,” something I think we should all live by. 

John also discussed the current dynamics of the Arizona apartment market and the housing shortage that we experiencing. He spoke about some of the challenges that we currently face such as the looming possibility of rent control, which would hinder the desire for developers to build in Arizona. 

We also had the pleasure of hearing from Kimberly, who shared all of the amazing amenities and details that went into the interiors of Gramercy’s apartments.
