February: This Month At The AMA
Blanket Bonanza
Kicking off the month on a heartwarming note, the 2023 Lyceum class completed their service project with flying colors. Through a dedicated blanket drive, they collected nearly 1,000 cozy blankets for charities in Phoenix and Tucson, including UMOM New Day Centers and Tucson Center for Opportunity. A massive shoutout to our AMA-zing members for making a meaningful impact this winter!
Board Bash and Fundraising Fiesta
At our December board meeting, we welcomed the new faces of leadership as the 2024 AMA elected officers and board members were sworn in. Curious to meet the lineup? Click here to see the full board. Following the official business, the celebration continued at our first-ever Holiday Party Fundraiser, a fantastic collaboration with AMCF Phoenix. The night was filled with festive cheer, special appearances by Santa, the Grinch, and Cindy Lou, all set against the beautiful backdrop of El Chorro.
Lyceum Class Curtain Call
The board meeting doubled as a stage for the 2023 Lyceum class graduation, where accomplishments took a well-deserved bow, marking the end of their Lyceum journey.
5-Star Spotlight
A round of applause for 128 properties earning the coveted 5-Star Program Certification, setting the gold standard for safety, community well-being, and top-notch property practices.
Educational Extravaganza
December's learning sessions weren't just about facts; they were a rollercoaster of engagement. From financial flair in the Lunch & Learn to exploring Veteran Housing Programs and diving into landlord-tenant dynamics, we closed the year on an educational high. Car Raffle Celebration: A special mention goes to Olivia Spencer, the proud winner from the Mark-Taylor Corporate Office in our 2023 AMCF Phoenix Car Raffle! We handed her the keys to the stylish 2022 Chevrolet Trax. A huge shout-out to Kwik Tow for generously donating the incredible vehicle!
Congressman Ciscomani's Networking Soiree
Wrapping up the month, we hosted a unique networking event featuring Congressman Ciscomani, a fundraiser for AMAPAC. Attendees had the opportunity to gain insights into federal updates and connect with CM Juan Ciscomani, a rising star representing Arizona's 6th district in Washington. It was an evening of collaboration and valuable discussions, marking a great end to the year.
As we bid adieu to December's happenings, we also raise a toast to the incredible journey of 2023. The Year in Review showcased our growth, including welcoming 28 new members. The AMA staff recharged over the holidays, ready to kick off 2024 with renewed vigor.
